Morning Star II is the second in a series of three chamber works by Sydney-based Paul Stanhope which draw on Aboriginal melodies and combines them with minimalist textures to create a conversational and captivating work for both players and audiences. This work exists in two versions, both of which are published in this edition: the first for flute, clarinet, violin, violoncello and piano, and the second is an arrangement for oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn and piano.
Paul Stanhope is a freelance composer based in Sydney, Australia.
