Interested in becoming a Promethean Editions composer?

What are we looking for?

From a brief survey of the composers currently represented by Promethean Editions it will become apparent that their work spans a broad range of differing styles and aesthetic philosophies. However, each is considered to have established a distinctive and appealing musical ‘voice’, and either to have or to be embarking on a career as a dedicated composer.

How do we decide to take on works by a new composer?

In establishing a relationship with a new composer, we will consider the publication of a small number of commercially viable ‘representative’ works. These will most likely be smaller-scale chamber or instrumental pieces, and preference will be shown to works which have been professionally performed or recorded.

How do I submit my works for consideration?

In the first instance, contact should be established with our Music Editor. E-mail a brief resume and list of works, with details of the works proposed for consideration, bearing in mind that first impressions are important and that a professional approach is likely to receive more favourable attention than an informal note.
