Licences using Sound Recordings (from Record Labels) for Video, Film, and Synchronisation

In most cases, licensees will be required to clear two types of copyright to use the music in the Promethean Editions catalogue. We can issue a copyright licence to licensees to clear the copyright in the Musical Work (normally controlled by the Publisher and/or Composer) but we cannot issue licences to clear the copyright of a Sound Recording (i.e. recordings found on CDs, DVDs, or Digital Downloads, etc.) as this type of Copyright is owned by the Record Label.
