This was my first solo piano work and represents my initial explorations of extended piano techniques. What I wanted to achieve was to paint a musical portrait of a certain scene using any sounds that could be created from a modern grand piano (ie. strumming of the strings, muted string tones, plucking of the strings, etc). Even though this is an early work of mine, it expresses the childlike sense of wonder and enthusiasm I had as a teenager when I began my journey into the world of composing.
