Perc 1: 4 timpani, 3 suspended cymbals, 1 inverted cmybal (to be played on the timpani head)
Perc 2: 3 suspended cymbals, 3 tam-tams, 4 gongs, 1 brake drum, 5 temple blocks, 2 woodblocks, slapstick
Perc 3: 3 suspended cymbals, bamboo chimes, wind chimes, 3 triangles, 1 bass drum, 3 tom-toms, 1 brake drum, slapstick, lion's roar, crotales
Solo Perc:
Station 1: this station may comprise of any instruments of the soloist's choice. It is featured during the ritual improvisation that occurs at mm.85-98. If vocal elements are to be used (i.e. chanting, singing, humming, etc.), the soloist may employ the use of a head-mic as well as sound effects (sound technician may be required). Some suggested instruments: water phones, tam-tams, thundersheets, temple bowls, gongs, etc.
Station 2: bass drum, 10 drums in ascending order - any combination of tom-toms, congas, bongos, or drums of choice (ie 4 toms, 4 congas, 2 bongos).
Station 3: vibraphone, marimba, waterphone, a collection of suspended cymbals (minimum: 5), and at least 1 tam-tam
