Inspired by Witi Ihimaera's novel of the same name, Sky Dancer is a collaborative work for orchestra and children's theatre group. The work transforms myth into a legendary musical experience where a young girl named Skylark becomes embroiled in a prophecy which sees her embark on an extraordinary journey – a dazzling trip into the past to save our future.
