Delivered at the Humanities Auditorium at Massey University, Palmerston North in July 2003, New Zealand composer John Rimmer's address was based on his experience of writing Transcend - Concerto for Orchestra. Rimmer's address was published in 2007 for wider use by educators, students and others wanting to gain insight into the composer's creative process, and as a way to learn more about Rimmer's extensive catalogue of works.
